Donalee Watson-Dwyer
I am Donalee Watson-Dwyer, LCPC, a therapist with ROH Mental Health and Wellness Services, where our focus is on providing a ray of hope in seemingly hopeless situations. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a background in social work, career counseling and rehabilitation counseling. I am also a Registered Nurse, and my background gives me a wealth of knowledge and awareness when working with clients.
For about seven years I worked with children and teenagers, and for the rest of my career in human services I have worked with a mixed population. I use innovative theoretical approaches to enhance my clients’ healing. I believe individuals are unique, with unique characteristics, and so require a distinct way of being with them. I particularly enjoy a Person-Centered approach and place significant emphasis on creating a strong therapeutic alliance. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Integrative approaches are others I use frequently.
I enjoy working with people who are struggling with boundary-setting, life transitions and learning to navigate life’s challenges, and with women working through women’s issues, fertility and perinatal issues. In my leisure time I enjoy reading, films, downtime alone or with family, and traveling to new countries to experience new cultures and the joy of living.
I think of everyone as a unique individual with unique problems, so my aim is to meet you where you are. Feel free to reach out. I would be happy to assist you on your journey, and I wish you all the best whatever you decide and wherever life takes you. Be safe and be well!
